About the Free Receipt Generator

Thermal POS Design

Our receipt generator is specifically designed to perfectly mimic standard 80mm thermal POS (Point of Sale) printer rolls. It utilizes monospaced fonts, jagged edge bottom borders, and grayscale logo filtering for ultimate realism.

WYSIWYG Live Editing

Click directly on the receipt to edit store names, addresses, line items, and tax labels. No clunky side-forms required. The math engines automatically calculate subtotals and totals as you type.

Print & PDF Support

Hitting the Print/PDF button engages specialized CSS @media print queries. This strips the background UI and perfectly scales the receipt width to 80mm for direct thermal printing or clean PDF saving.

Zero Server Tracking

Store data and financial transaction amounts are never uploaded to any server. This entire application runs locally inside your browser, ensuring 100% data privacy for your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! The print stylesheet is specifically calibrated to 80mm widths. If you have an Epson, Star Micronics, or standard thermal POS printer selected as your default printer, clicking "Print / PDF" will spool perfectly formatted output directly to the hardware.

Just click on the "Tax (8.5%)" text on the receipt and type whatever you want (e.g. "GST (18%)", "VAT", "State Tax"). You can also edit the exact calculated tax amount directly on the receipt to match your records perfectly.

We use the "Libre Barcode 39" font to dynamically generate a visual barcode based on the text. However, for true hardware scanning, it depends heavily on your printer's resolution and ink density. It is primarily designed for aesthetic realism.
